A year and a half ago I hardly knew anything about real estate investing.  I was very frustrated about my financial situation after going to college for over SIX years and not being able to make a living in my field.  A friend of mine told me about Dwan’s book “Short Sale Pre Foreclosure Investing.”  I read the book and found the answer to my problem.

Bill and Dwan Twyford came to Boston and spoke at Boston AREIA.  They spoke on Thursday night and then came back for the weekend and did a 2 day seminar with a group of investors.  I got the best feedback that I’ve ever had from a weekend seminar.  They offered 2 days of solid teaching!  They broke their teaching segments into 1 1/2 hour focus slots.  My investors loved the content and how the sessions were structured.  Regardless of their investment level, from newbies to seasoned veterans, everyone walked away with tools that they were able to add to their tool belt.  Thanks Bill and Dwan!

I found a vacant house in the same neighborhood as one of my short sales. I ran down the homeowner, it was free and clear, so I just got him to agree on a good price, paid cash and closed as quick as I could lol. I spent almost 2K getting the place cleaned up and show ready, then resold to a cash buyer.


Building up my “REI Fund” is really changing my game. Buying power huge. Being able to close on a deal and hide my profit is nice.


Although I’m always testing new marketing methods, door knocking is still where most of my deals come from…and to be honest, I’ll never stop door knocking. Driving neighborhoods all the time door knocking pre-foreclosures has helped me stumble on sweet deals that I otherwise would have never found.

I read your note about suicide. This note of things to be grateful for is wonderful! I am going to add this to my morning ritual, looking at what I am grateful for everyday to begin my day.

 I’ve been chugging along on the short sales about 70 hours a week.
Things are starting to pay off well finally.


I’m closing my biggest deal in a week or two.  $212K net profit. I have a pipeline of about 110 deals and about 15 people working for me.


Life has changed since I was in your short sale boot camp three years ago! Thanks for the jump start you provided.  Obviously it was worth the 10K I paid for mentoring!
